Josh Jacobs passed away on 09-18-2013


Joshua James Ellis Jacobs passed away September 13, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born October 31st, 1989 to his parents James E. Jacobs and Ambur R. (Croom) Jacobs. Joshua (Josh) loved music, friends, and most of all his family. He served proudly and actively in the United States Air Force with the 146th Air Support Operations Squadron as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC); an elite combat unit, "putting bombs on target." From 2011 - 2012 he served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 45th Infantry Brigade. Josh loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends. He had strong family values, and his family was always first. Josh was survived by his Mom and Dad, sisters, Heather Dyson (husband Vic Dyson) and Tara Cameron (husband Dale Cameron,) brother, Randy Henson, nephews Elijah, Kyler, Josiah, Timothy, Jesse, and nieces, Hailey, Alyssa, and Allyson; his grandparents Belva Carey, Roger Carey, William Croom, Aubrey Jacobs and Judith Jacobs. He was also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends from another mother. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Florence Jacobs, grandmother, (Nanny) Linda Jacobs and uncle, Eugene Jacobs. His infectious smile and adventurous spirit greatly impacted all those who came into his life. He will be forever loved and never forgotten.
